How do you get to the root of your experience? If you’re a poet, do you speak your deepest truth?
I think I’m finding that I dash around it but may not arrive at the depths. Since I write formal verse, I’m wondering whether my concerns with form is keeping me from knowing what my depths look like.
I am going to explore that (experiences with epilepsy) in prose, then see, after a time, whether what I wrote will frame itself in the type of poetry I write. Today’s writing quote goes right along with this for me.
